Description
No serious wear or blemishes really. This unit I believe belonged to someone that worked for a Binson outlet, in Kent. I may be wrong but I can explain its origin to anyone concerned. Its in a great working, usable condition and its been a studio staple, running it as an aux from the console or with instruments straight into it. I will miss it but I am currently restoring a PE603-T which will end up being a replacement. The Magic eye tube has been replaced and is bright, the pots and switches have been serviced, the power cable is original but has had a modern plug attached, I believe the plexiglass drum case is a retrofit, but I’m not sure. All the tape heads are original and still sound good. Electronics are all original except one or two resistors that were out of tolerance. It has a few mods, done by a professional:-The Geloso sockets have been replaced with quarter inch sockets.-The internal tone control trimmer has been replaced with a potentiometer accessible on the side.-The motor has been refitted with a DC varispeed motor that can do very slow speeds up to a halt, much like soundgas. The motor controller pot has been side mounted also. motor noise suppression measures have been taken so they don’t bleed into the audio path.-The wet only signal has been tapped into a quarter inch socket next to the tone control pot.Thats about it and if you have any questions please ask.
